IWC Portofino
Portofino is a classic collection from IWC. Obviously, the name of a small resort town on the Mediterranean Sea reflects the idea of the authors about the serene passage of time, without various difficulties and adaptations.
A round case with a thin steel rim around the circumference. Three hands are made of the same material as the case. They have the shape of an elongated spear. All hour markers are in place. It’s applique, metal. Minute marking on the bezel is reflected in Arabic numerals, in the 5 minutes increments. The smallest increment is one full second.
Chronograph — complicated by three sub-dials. Two elegant pushers, on the sides of the crown, help control three chronographs. The watch is decorated with the original weaving of a steel bracelet.
Hand-Wound 8 Days is a good manual winding movement. As the name implies, the resource is 8 days. In gold and steel. The mechanics can be admired through the transparent back cover. There is no date indicator and second hand on the dial. So the designers brought the model to a strict classic.
