The A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 Time Zone was first introduced in 2005 and later on updated to this model, reference number 136.29. A simple to use timepiece for world travelers.
This worldtimer has a solid silver dial in black with two time zones. The larger circle by the 9 O’clock position shows the home time, while the smaller circle by the 5 O’clock position show the second zone in combination with the city ring.
All the hands used on this dial are rhodium gold while the hours markers and roman numerals are solid gold appliqués.
When using crown to adjust the time, both time zones are corrected simultaneously but if you need to adjust the second time zone to one of the 24 cities, you simply pressed the pusher by the 8 O’clock position and the city ring jumps by one time zone from west to east.
The arrow between the 4 and 6 o’clock position (in the small circle) indicates the city. When red shows up inside the arrow, this means that the city indicated has a daylight-saving time. When is not red, standard time applies to the city all year round.
The dial also includes a Power reserve indicator right above the second time zone and at the very top, a double aperture date window with white background. The date can be adjusted by pressing the pusher by the 10 O’clock position.
There is also day/night indicator for both time zones which are located on the center of each time zone and a small seconds sub-dial at the 6 O’clock position of the home time zone.
The 18KT white gold case design and overall size remains the same as the previous generation, measuring 41.9 mm by 10.9mm in height and 50 mm from lug to lug.
The case has been combined with a brown alligator strap with monotone stitching and 18KT white gold pin buckle.
Under the hood is caliber L141.1. This manual movement is adjusted in 5 positions and works at 3 hertz using 38 jewels with an impressive 72 hours of power reserve using a single barrel.
