The limited edition Breitling for Bentley Barnato Racing Chronograph, reference number R25366 is a big timepiece and hefty because large case that is made of 18K rose gold.
The case measures 49mm in diameter, 16mm thick and 55mm from lug to lug. This is one of the largest timepieces Breitling did for Bentley.
This Barnato comes paired with a thick Breitling calfskin leather strap with a large 18K rose gold pin buckle. This brown strap has yellow calfskin leather on the back and and white stitching.
The collaboration between the Swiss maker and luxury car started in 2002 and lasted almost 20 years. The Barnato timepieces pay homage to British car racer, Joel Woolf Barnato, who was part of the original Bentley Boys during the late 1920s and won 3 Leman races.
The timepiece includes the Bentley motif knurled on the bidirectional bezel, exhibition case-back and most importantly, an extremely accurate chronograph which features a 30 seconds chronograph function which is accurate to within 1/8th of a second!
The white dial has a variable Tachymeter on the outer ring of the dial and 3 black steering wheel motif disc-type chronograph sub-dials which feature a 15 minute and a 6 hour counter. By the 3 O’clock position there is a small running seconds. The cool part of this setup is that all 3 Sub-dials actually rotate.
Under the hood, this massive timepiece is using Caliber 25B. This is an automatic certified chronometer movement which works with 21 jewels and delivers up to 42 hours of power reserve.
The caliber is based on ETA 2892-A2 and works at 4 hertz and features, bidirectional winding, screw down crown and ball bearings for the custom rotor.
