This limited edition Vanguard Crazy Hour was created to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Franck Muller‘s Crazy hour collection. The design was done in collaboration with the famous French Artist, Hom Nguyen.
Hom is an incredible artist who’s specialty is portraits in figurative style. So, the numerals and even the logo and name of the model have been done in the style of the artist. This dial design may not be everyone but is definitely a work of art!
The dial is surrounded by a Titanium case measuring 44 mm by 53.7 mm. This case comes paired with a black alligator leather strap with a rubber back. To secure it to the wrist, the strap comes with a Titanium deployant clasp which adds extra security when removing or putting on the timepiece.
Since this is a Vanguard Crazy Hours, the numerals are placed in an unconventional way.
The numerals seem to be randomly placed, but the design actually have a sequence. Each number has been placed about 150 degrees from the preceding number. So in order to show the correct time, this timepiece has been fitted with Caliber MVD FM2800. This movement features a sophisticated jumping hour module which cleverly allows the hour hand to jump and point the correct hour numeral.
The MVD FM2800 is an automatic movement that works at 4 hertz using 201 components and features hacking seconds and bidirectional rotor that helps keep this movement working for up to 42 hours.
This impressive collector’s timepiece is also available in other materials and colors and all of them are limited edition. This model is reference V45 CH TTBR NR and is limited to only 100 pcs.
