The 1770 Voltige is Manufacture Royale’s entry level model and perhaps the most conservative design that the brand have in their catalog today. Unlike the rest of the models which have very complex mechanical architectures and Tourbillon movements, the Voltige is composed of a more traditional looking case combined with an elegant dial that showcases the high craftsmanship that this brand is capable of doing.
The case is crafted in stainless steel and measures 45mm in diameter by 13.8mm in thickness and comes paired with a black alligator strap and a simple stainless steel pin buckle.
Under the sapphire crystal is a red dial that has a very unique 3 dimensional design made up of the bridges and cast components that have been placed in different planes. But the main attraction is the large 14mm balance wheel and fully exposed escapement wheel assembly. Because of this unique design, the skeletonized hands had to be raised in order to clear these components. it’s a gorgeous dial which also includes s small seconds sub-dial at the 6 O’clock position with a red honeycomb design.
Under the hood, this timepiece is equipped with Manufacture Royal’s in-house movement caliber 05. This automatic movement is composed of 176 components and adjusted in 6 positions. The caliber works at 3 hertz using 29 jewels and has a power reserve of 40 hours.
This architectural masterpiece comes in steel and gold with an MSRP starting at $33k.
