The Zenith Chronomaster Sport is a timepiece that comes from a watchmaker which has over 50 years creating automatic high frequency chronograph movements. In fact, Zenith was the one responsible for the first automatic movement used in the second generation of the Rolex Daytona released in 1988.
The Zenith Chronomaster, aesthetically resembles a Rolex Daytona but the case design of this Zenith with is short lugs and sharp edges are design elements that makes this timepiece unique to Zenith.
On top of these design features, the timepiece comes equipped with a very accurate movement that works at 5 hertz with a chronograph that offers a 1/10 of a second indication.
Chronomaster Sport is crafted from stainless steel and comes with a black ceramic bezel. The case measures 41mm in diameter and 13.8mm in thickness.
For the dial design, this Chronomaster has overlapping Sub-dials in different colors and a date indicator between the 4 and 5 O’clock position.The applied rhodium plated hour markers as well as the faceted hands are treated with superluminova which is good enough in dark settings.
Under the hood, this Zenith is using caliber El Primero 3600, which has some major improvements when compare to previous EL Primero 400. The improvements includes hacking seconds, increase power reserve and higher jewel.
This caliber works at 5 hertz with a silicon escapement and water resistance is rated at 100 meters.
